Where AnyList wins
AnyList has been refining its shared-list experience for a decade. The category autocomplete is trained on millions of household lists. Recipes import from any URL. The price ($9.99/year) is hard to beat. If all you want is the world's best digital list, AnyList is the right product.
Where ingle wins
Ingle is not trying to be a better list app. It's trying to be the household grocery brain — a category that didn't exist before AI agents could drive carts.
- Persistent pantry. AnyList doesn't track what's in your fridge. Ingle does, via voice + photo. That changes everything downstream — meal suggestions, shopping lists, "are we out of olive oil?"
- Agentic shopping. AnyList helps you remember what to buy. Ingle buys it. We drive your Walmart cart end-to-end while you do anything else.
- AI-native. Ingle is built on the MCP standard, which means Claude (and soon ChatGPT and Gemini) can manage your household pantry and lists for you. AnyList is a great UI; ingle is a great agent.
The honest answer
If you want the best list app, get AnyList. Seriously. We're not here to displace it for that job. If you want a product that thinks about your pantry, your meals, and your cart — and that an LLM can drive on your behalf — that's a different product. That's ingle.
